Suta (narrating the Narada Purana’s topic-outline in an Anukramanika style)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
This verse functions as a table-of-contents marker: it highlights that the Purana teaches age-specific Dharma (yuga-dharma) and then turns to tirtha-mahātmyas—especially Vārāṇasī and Prayāga—showing that right conduct and sacred pilgrimage are both integral to Purāṇic practice.
Indirectly: by pointing to Vārāṇasī and Prayāga mahātmyas, it signals devotional pilgrimage (tirtha-yātrā), worship, and remembrance of the sacred as practical supports for bhakti, alongside following yuga-appropriate Dharma.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this single verse; rather, it is an anukramaṇikā-style outline indicating forthcoming instruction on yuga-dharma and sacred geography (tirtha-mahātmya).
