Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon
बाहुभिश्न सकेयूरैविंचित्रैश्व महारथै: । सुवर्णचित्रै: कवचैर्ध्वजैश्न विनिपातितै:
vaiśampāyana uvāca | bāhubhiś ca keyūraiś ca vicitraiś ca mahārathaiḥ | suvarṇacitraiḥ kavacair dhvajaiś ca vinipātitaiḥ ||
وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا—دروṇ اور ارجن کے اُس معرکے میں پارتھ کے تیروں سے زخمی و مضطرب ہو کر بہت سے جنگجو مارے گئے۔ کیور (بازوبند) سے آراستہ بازو کٹ کر زمین پر آ گرے۔ رنگا رنگ لباس و زیور والے مہارتھی خاک پر ڈھیر ہوتے جاتے تھے۔ سونے سے منقش طرح طرح کے زرہیں اور گرے ہوئے جھنڈے ہر طرف بکھرے پڑے تھے۔ اس تباہی کے آثار دیکھ کر ساری فوج خوف سے بدحواس، گویا بے ہوش سی ہو گئی۔
