Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
अपि होतद् दरिद्राणां व्यलीकस्थानमुत्तमम् । न मृषाभिहितं राज्ञां मनुष्येषु प्रकाशयेत्,क्योंकि ऐसी ढिठाई तो दरिद्रोंको भी बहुत अप्रिय जान पड़ती है; फिर राजाओंकी तो बात ही क्या है? राजाओंकी किसी झूठी बातको दूसरे मनुष्योंके सामने प्रकाशित न करें
api hotad daridrāṇāṁ vyalīkasthānam uttamam | na mṛṣābhihitaṁ rājñāṁ manuṣyeṣu prakāśayet |
دھومیہ نے کہا—فقیروں میں بھی بےباک گستاخی نہایت ناپسند کی جاتی ہے؛ پھر بادشاہوں کے معاملے میں تو کیا کہنا۔ اس لیے بادشاہ کی طرف منسوب کسی جھوٹی بات کو لوگوں کے سامنے ظاہر نہ کرے۔
