वारितस्त्वब्रवीत् पार्थो दृश्यमानो निवारय । यावद् बाणैविंनिर्भिन्न: पुनर्नैंवं वदिष्यसि
vāritas tv abravīt pārtho dṛśyamāno nivāraya | yāvad bāṇair vinirbhinnaḥ punar naivaṁ vadiṣyasi ||
یوں روکے جانے پر پارتھ نے کہا—“اگر روکنا ہے تو سامنے آ کر روکو۔ میرے تیروں سے چیتھڑے چیتھڑے ہو جانے کے بعد پھر تم اس طرح بات نہ کر سکو گے۔”
यक्ष उवाच
The verse implicitly cautions that mere martial power and harsh speech are not sufficient; restraint and discernment are required, especially when confronted by a moral or spiritual test (the Yakṣa).
In the Yakṣa episode, Arjuna—checked or challenged—responds defiantly, demanding the unseen restrainer to appear and threatening to destroy him with arrows, while the Yakṣa remains a testing presence.
