विश्रान्तोडसि महाभाग विनिद्रश्न नृपात्मज । यदि शकक््यं समुन्तिष्ठ विगाढां पश्य शर्वरीम्
viśrānto 'si mahābhāga vinidrāś ca nṛpātmaja | yadi śakyaṃ samuttiṣṭha vigāḍhāṃ paśya śarvarīm ||
اے خوش نصیب شہزادے! تم آرام کر چکے ہو اور تمہاری نیند بھی اتر گئی ہے۔ اگر طاقت ہو تو اب اٹھو؛ دیکھو—رات گہری ہو گئی ہے اور گھنا اندھیرا چھا گیا ہے۔
यम उवाच
The verse urges timely wakefulness and readiness: after rest, one should rise when capable and face the situation as it is, even when conditions are difficult (symbolized by the deep, dark night).
Yama addresses a prince, noting that he has rested and awakened, and instructs him to get up if he has the strength, pointing out that the night has become intensely dark—setting a serious, watchful mood for what follows.
