Krishna’s Entry into Hastināpura and Court Reception

Bhishma teaches that arrogant, unethical resolve (sudurmatī) collapses when it challenges righteous and divinely-supported power. Sound counsel urges restraint and humility: confronting a truly great agent of dharma leads to swift ruin, not glory.
In the Udyoga Parva’s pre-war counsel, Bhishma warns the Kuru king (Dhritarashtra) that his son (Duryodhana), if he chooses to oppose or attack Krishna, will be annihilated instantly along with his advisers—highlighting Krishna’s effortless might and the folly of hostile defiance.
