Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 71 — Kṣatra-dharma Counsel, Public Legitimacy, and Mobilization

अस्मान्‌ वेत्थ परान्‌ वेत्थ वेत्थार्थान्‌ वेत्थ भाषितुम्‌ । यद्‌ यदस्मद्धितं कृष्ण तत्‌ तद्‌ वाच्य: सुयोधन:,श्रीकृष्ण! आप हमको जानते हैं, कौरवोंको भी जानते हैं, हम दोनोंके स्वार्थोंसे भी आप अपरिचित नहीं हैं और बातचीत कैसे करनी चाहिये, यह भी आपको अच्छी तरह ज्ञात है। अतः जिस-जिस बातसे हमारा हित हो, वह सब आप दुर्योधनको बतावें

asmān vettha parān vettha vetthārthān vettha bhāṣitum | yad yadasmaddhitaṃ kṛṣṇa tat tad vācyaḥ suyodhanaḥ ||

اے شری کرشن! تم ہمیں بھی جانتے ہو اور دوسروں (کوروؤں) کو بھی؛ تم دونوں کے مفادات کو سمجھتے ہو اور مشورے میں کیسے بات کرنی چاہیے یہ بھی تمہیں خوب معلوم ہے۔ لہٰذا، اے کرشن، جو جو بات تم ہمارے حق میں بہتر سمجھو وہ سب سویودھن (دریودھن) سے کہہ دو۔
