युद्धे कृष्ण कलिरनर्नित्यं प्राणा: सीदन्ति संयुगे । बल॑ तु नीतिमाधाय युध्ये जयपराजयौ
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | yuddhe kṛṣṇa kalir anityaṁ prāṇāḥ sīdanti saṁyuge | balaṁ tu nītim ādhāya yudhye jayaparājayau śrīkṛṣṇa ||
یُدھِشٹھِر نے کہا— اے کرشن، جنگ میں ہمیشہ نزاع برپا رہتا ہے اور اسی ٹکراؤ میں جانیں گھِس کر فنا ہو جاتی ہیں۔ اس لیے میں صرف نیتی (راست پالیسی) اور اخلاقی ضبط کی قوت پر بھروسا کر کے لڑوں گا؛ پھر، اے شری کرشن، خدا کی مرضی کے مطابق فتح ہو یا شکست۔
