त्यक्त मे जीवितं राज्यं धनं सर्व च पार्थिव । न जातु पाण्डवै: सार्थ वसेयमहमच्युत,राज्यच्युत न होनेवाले महाराज! मैं जीवन, राज्य, धन--सब कुछ छोड़ सकता हूँ, परंतु पाण्डवोंके साथ मिलकर कदापि नहीं रह सकता

tyaktaṁ me jīvitaṁ rājyaṁ dhanaṁ sarvaṁ ca pārthiva | na jātu pāṇḍavaiḥ sārthaṁ vaseyam aham acyuta ||

اے مہاراج! میں اپنی جان، اپنی سلطنت اور اپنا سارا مال بھی چھوڑ سکتا ہوں؛ مگر پانڈوؤں کے ساتھ میل ملاپ میں رہنا میں کبھی، کسی حال میں، قبول نہیں کروں گا۔
