Educational Q&A

The verse contrasts moral blindness with moral confidence: Duryodhana is portrayed as disregarding karmic accountability and misjudging others, while the speaker’s resolve rests on rightful support—symbolized by Krishna—implying that power aligned with dharma and awareness of karma ultimately prevails over arrogant denial.

In the tense pre-war negotiations of the Udyoga Parva, Sanjaya reports a declaration of determination against Duryodhana. The speaker expresses hope of defeating and killing Duryodhana along with his supporters, specifically emphasizing Krishna (Vasudeva) as the decisive ally.
