पापोदयफल विद्वान् यो नारभति वर्धते । यस्तु पूर्वकृतं पापमविमृश्यानुवर्तते । अगाधपड़के दुर्मेधा विषमे विनिपात्यते
pāpodayaphala-vidvān yo nārabhati vardhate | yastu pūrvakṛtaṃ pāpam avimṛśyānuvartate | agādapaṅke durmedhā viṣame vinipātyate ||
وِدُر کہتا ہے—جو دانا ایسے اعمال کا آغاز نہیں کرتا جن کا پھل گناہ بن کر پکّتا ہے، وہ ترقی پاتا ہے؛ مگر جو اپنے پہلے کیے ہوئے گناہوں پر غور کیے بغیر اسی راہ پر چلتا رہتا ہے، وہ بدفہم آدمی گہرے کیچڑ جیسے ہولناک، ناہموار گڑھے میں گرا دیا جاتا ہے۔
