उद्योगपर्व — विदुरनीतिः (Adhyāya 37): आयुःक्षयहेतवः, नीतिसूत्राणि, बलभेदाः, पाण्डव-विग्रहदोषदर्शनम्

नित्यं सन्‍तः कुले जाता: पावकोपमतेजस:

nityaṁ santaḥ kule jātāḥ pāvakopama-tejasaḥ

ودُر کہتے ہیں—اس خاندان میں ہمیشہ سچے نیک لوگ پیدا ہوتے رہے ہیں، جن کی تابانی آگ کی مانند ہے؛ یعنی شریفانہ کردار اور اخلاقی قوت محض اتفاق نہیں بلکہ بار بار ظاہر ہونے والی وراثت ہے، جسے آج کے فیصلوں کی رہنمائی کرنی چاہیے۔
