तच्छुत्वा वचन भीष्म: सम्मन्त्रय सह मन्सत्रिभि: । निश्चित्य विससर्जेमां सत्यवत्या मते स्थित:,अम्बाका यह वचन सुनकर भीष्मने मन्त्रियोंक साथ सलाह करके माता सत्यवतीकी सम्मति प्राप्त करके एक निश्चयपर पहुँचकर इस कन्याको छोड़ दिया

tac chrutvā vacanaṃ bhīṣmaḥ sammantrya saha mantribhiḥ | niścitya visasarjaināṃ satyavatyā mate sthitaḥ ||

یہ بات سن کر بھیشم نے وزیروں کے ساتھ مشورہ کیا۔ ستیہ وتی کی رائے پر قائم رہتے ہوئے اس نے پختہ فیصلہ کیا اور اس کنیا کو رخصت کر دیا۔
