भीष्मकृतः पाण्डवपक्ष-महारथ-प्रशंसा

Bhishma’s appraisal of Pandava-aligned chariot-warriors

तेजोवधमिमं कुर्याद्‌ विभेदयिषुराहवे । यथा त्वं गुणविद्वेषादपरागं चिकीर्षसि

tejovadham imaṁ kuryād vibhedayiṣur āhave | yathā tvaṁ guṇavidveṣād aparāgaṁ cikīrṣasi ||

بھیشم نے کہا—میدانِ جنگ میں پھوٹ ڈالنے کی خواہش رکھنے والا کون اپنے ہی فریق کے جنگجو کی ایسی تاب و توان کو قتل کرے گا؟ جیسے تم میری خوبیوں سے بغض رکھ کر بادشاہوں کو مجھ سے برگشتہ کرنا چاہتے ہو، ویسے ہی اسی لمحے—جب جنگ کا وقت آ پہنچا ہے اور ہم مرتبہ، شریف بادشاہ جمع ہیں—تم رخنہ ڈالنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہو۔
