Pāṇḍava-senā-niryāṇa and Vyūha-vibhāga (पाण्डवसेनानिर्याण तथा व्यूहविभाग)
sahāyas te yadi yamaḥ kuberaḥ rudra eva vā | yathāpratijñaṃ durbuddhe prakariṣyanti pāṇḍavāḥ | duḥśāsanasya rudhiraṃ pātā cāsmi yathepsitam ||

The verse highlights the binding power of a vow (pratijñā) and the inevitability of moral consequence: even imagined divine assistance cannot nullify the results of wrongdoing, and the narrative frames impending violence as the execution of pledged retribution.
Sañjaya declares that the Pāṇḍavas will fulfill their sworn resolve regardless of any powerful ally on the opposing side, and he voices the grim vow to drink Duḥśāsana’s blood—an oath associated with vengeance for past humiliation and injustice.
