Agni-hymn, discovery of Indra, and the Nahuṣa threat
एवं स्तुतो हव्यवाट् स भगवान् कविरुत्तम: । बृहस्पतिमथोवाच प्रीतिमान् वाक्यमुत्तमम् | दर्शयिष्यामि ते शक्रं सत्यमेतद् ब्रवीमि ते,इस प्रकार स्तुति की जानेपर हविष्य वहन करनेवाले श्रेष्ठ एवं सर्वज्ञ भगवान् अग्निदेव प्रसन्न होकर बृहस्पतिसे यह उत्तम वचन बोले--'ब्रह्मन! मैं आपको इन्द्रका दर्शन कराऊँगा, यह मैं आपसे सत्य कह रहा हूँ”
evaṁ stuto havyavāṭ sa bhagavān kavir uttamaḥ | bṛhaspatim athovāca prītimān vākyam uttamam | darśayiṣyāmi te śakraṁ satyam etad bravīmi te ||
یوں ستائش کیے جانے پر ہویہ بردار، برگزیدہ اور برترین رِشی بھگوان اگنی دیو خوش ہو کر برہسپتی سے یہ عمدہ کلام بولے— “اے برہمن! میں تمہیں شکر (اِندر) کا دیدار کراؤں گا؛ یہ بات میں تم سے سچ کہتا ہوں۔”
