Agni-hymn, discovery of Indra, and the Nahuṣa threat
गत्वा देवर्षिंगन्धर्व: सहितो5थ बृहस्पति: । पुराणै: कर्मभियदेंवं तुष्टाव बलसूदनम्,तब बृहस्पतिजीने देवर्षियों और गन्धरवोंके साथ वहाँ जाकर बलसूदन इन्द्रके पुरातन कर्मोका वर्णन करते हुए उनकी स्तुति की--
gatvā devarṣi-gandharvaiḥ sahito 'tha bṛhaspatiḥ | purāṇaiḥ karmabhir yad evaṁ tuṣṭāva balasūdanam ||
پھر برہسپتی دیورشیوں اور گندھرووں کے ساتھ وہاں گئے اور بَل سُودن اِندر کے قدیم کارناموں کا بیان کرتے ہوئے اس کی ستائش کی۔
शल्य उवाच
Honor and authority are shown as grounded in remembered righteous deeds: praise is offered not merely for power, but for exemplary actions preserved in tradition, reinforcing ethical models for rulers and warriors.
Śalya narrates that Bṛhaspati, accompanied by divine seers and Gandharvas, goes to Indra and extols him by recounting his ancient heroic deeds—setting a tone of counsel and legitimization through celebrated precedent.
