परिहृत्य श्मशानानि देवतायतनानि च । आश्रमांश्व महर्षीणां तीर्थान्यायतनानि च
parihṛtya śmaśānāni devatāyatanāni ca | āśramāṁś ca maharṣīṇāṁ tīrthāny āyatanāni ca ||
شمشان، دیوتاؤں کے مندر، مہارشیوں کے آشرم، تیرتھ اور مقدس مقامات—ان سب سے کنارہ کرکے، ان سے بہت دور، بنجر و شور زدہ زمین سے پاک، خوشگوار، صاف اور پاکیزہ مقام پر کنتی پتر مہامتی یُدھِشٹھِر نے اپنی فوج کا پڑاؤ ڈلوایا، تاکہ مقدس جگہوں کی حرمت پامال نہ ہو۔
