दुर्योधन निबोधेदं कुलार्थे यद् ब्रवीमि ते । तच्छुत्वा राजशार्दूल स्वकुलस्य हितं कुरु,“दुर्योधन! मैं अपने कुलके हितके लिये तुमसे जो कुछ कहता हूँ, उसे ध्यान देकर सुनो। नृपश्रेष्ठी उसे सुनकर अपने कुलका हितसाधन करो
duryodhana nibodhedaṃ kulārthe yad bravīmi te | tac chrutvā rājaśārdūla svakulasya hitaṃ kuru ||
اے دُریودھن! سمجھ لے، میں جو کچھ تجھ سے کہنے والا ہوں وہ تیرے کُل کی بھلائی کے لیے ہے۔ اے شاہانِ عالم کے شیردل! اسے توجہ سے سن اور پھر اپنے ہی خاندان کے حقیقی مفاد کے مطابق عمل کر۔
