असम्भावितरूपस्त्वमानृशंस्यं करिष्यसि । तं॑ त्वामयशसा स्मृष्टं न ब्रूयां यदि संजय

asambhāvitarūpas tvam ānṛśaṁsyaṁ kariṣyasi | taṁ tvām ayaśasā smṛṣṭaṁ na brūyāṁ yadi sañjaya ||

تمہاری حقیقی سرشت ابھی پوری طرح جانی نہیں گئی، اور تم اب ایک سنگدلانہ فعل کرنے جا رہے ہو۔ اے سنجے! اگر میں اس پر تمہیں رسوائی سے داغ دار نہ کہوں تو ایسے طرزِ عمل کے مستحق اخلاقی عیب کو نام دینے میں میں کوتاہی کروں گا۔
