नुदेद् वृद्धयसमृद्धी स प्रतिकूले नृपात्मज । राजकुमार! जिसे पहलेसे ही सभी पदार्थोकी अनित्यताका ज्ञान होता है, वह ज्ञानी पुरुष अपने प्रतिकूल शत्रुकी उन्नति और अपनी अवनतिसे प्राप्त हुए दुःखका विचारद्वारा निवारण कर सकता है
nuded vṛddhaya-samṛddhī sa pratikūle nṛpātmaja
اے شہزادے! جو دانا پہلے ہی سب چیزوں کی ناپائیداری کو جانتا ہو، وہ مخالف دشمن کی ترقی اور اپنی زوال پذیری سے پیدا ہونے والے غم کو غور و فکر سے دبا سکتا ہے۔
