हृष्य सौवीरकन्याभि: श्लाघस्वार्थर्यथा पुरा । मा च सैन्धवकन्यानामवसन्नो वशं गम:,तू सौवीरदेशकी कन्याओं (अपनी पत्नियों)-के साथ हर्षका अनुभव कर। पहलेकी भाँति अपने धनकी अधिकताके लिये गर्व कर। विपत्तिमें पड़कर सिन्धुदेशीय (शत्रुदेशकी) कन्याओंके वशमें न हो जा

hṛṣya sauvīraka-kanyābhiḥ ślāghasva arthaiḥ yathā purā | mā ca saindhava-kanyānām avasanno vaśaṃ gamaḥ ||

سَووِیر کی کنواریوں—یعنی اپنی بیویوں—کے ساتھ خوش رہو۔ پہلے کی طرح اپنی حاصل کردہ خوشحالی پر فخر کرو۔ مگر مصیبت میں پڑ کر سَیندھو کی کنواریوں (دشمن دیس کی عورتوں) کے زیرِ نگیں نہ ہو جانا۔
