Udyoga Parva Adhyāya 132 — Vidura’s Counsel on Udyama, Yaśas, and Kṣātra-Dharma

दिष्टभावं गतस्यापि विषये मोदते प्रजा । यदि बढ़े हुए तेज और उत्साहवाला, शूरवीर एवं सिंहके समान पराक्रमी राजा युद्धमें दैववश वीर-गतिको प्राप्त हो जाय तो भी उसके राज्यमें प्रजा सुखी ही रहती है

diṣṭabhāvaṃ gatasya api viṣaye modate prajā |

وایو نے کہا—بادشاہ اپنی مقدر کی ہوئی انتہا کو پہنچ بھی جائے تو بھی اس کی سلطنت کی رعایا خوش رہتی ہے۔ کیونکہ اگر تیز و جوش سے بھرپور، شجاع اور شیر کی مانند پرَاکرمی راجا تقدیر کے زور سے جنگ میں ویرگتی (شہادتِ جنگ) پا لے، تب بھی اس کی دھرم-یُکت حکمرانی کی قوت اور اس انجام کی عزت کے سہارے رعایا مطمئن رہتی ہے۔
