कुलीना शीलसम्पन्ना प्राणेभ्योडपि गरीयसी । महिषी पाण्डुपुत्राणां तथा विनिकृता त्वया,“द्रौपदी उत्तम कुलमें उत्पन्न, शील और सदाचारसे सम्पन्न तथा पाण्डवोंके लिये प्राणोंसे भी अधिक आदरणीय उन सबकी महारानी है। तथापि तूने उसके प्रति अत्याचार किया

kulīnā śīlasampannā prāṇebhyo 'pi garīyasī | mahiṣī pāṇḍuputrāṇāṃ tathā vinikṛtā tvayā ||

وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا: دروپدی عالی خاندان کی، نیک سیرت اور سُچّے آچارن سے آراستہ ہے؛ پانڈو کے بیٹوں کے لیے وہ جان سے بھی بڑھ کر قابلِ تعظیم—ان کی سردار مہیشی ہے۔ پھر بھی تم نے اس پر ظلم کر کے اسے رسوا کیا۔
