नाहमिच्छामि नहुषं पतिं देवर्षिसत्तम । शरणागतासि्मि ते ब्रह्मंंस्त्रायस्व महतो भयात्,'देवर्षियोंमें श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणदेव! मैं नहुषको अपना पति बनाना नहीं चाहती; इसीलिये आपकी शरणमें आयी हूँ। आप इस महान् भयसे मेरी रक्षा कीजिये”
nāham icchāmi nahuṣaṃ patiṃ devarṣi-sattama | śaraṇāgatāsmi te brahman trāyasva mahato bhayāt ||
اے دیورشیوں میں برتر برہمن دیو! میں نہوش کو شوہر کے طور پر نہیں چاہتی۔ اسی لیے میں تمہاری پناہ میں آئی ہوں؛ اس بڑے خوف سے میری حفاظت کرو۔
