Educational Q&A

The verse highlights an ideal state attained through dharma and spiritual excellence: the company of exalted seers and royal sages who are 'gata-vyathāḥ'—beyond grief. It implicitly values righteous living and inner purification as the path to a sorrowless realm.

Yuparṇa is describing a particular sacred region/direction as a dwelling-place of perfected beings—Devarṣis, Pitṛloka-seers, and Rājarṣis—emphasizing its sanctity and the absence of suffering there.
