Educational Q&A

This line is a colophon marking the close of a chapter in the Śānti Parva’s Rājadharma instruction. It frames the teaching as guidance for a ruler—especially one intent on conquest—implying that victory must be pursued under the discipline of rājadharma (ethical statecraft and kingly duty).

The text signals the end of the ninety-fifth chapter within the Rājadharma-anuśāsana portion of Śānti Parva. Bhīṣma’s discourse is presented as an answer to questions posed about the conduct and policy of an aspiring conqueror.
