Educational Q&A

One should live with apramāda (unremitting attentiveness), deliberately cultivating patience/forgiveness, discernment, steadiness, and sound judgment, while continually inquiring into the nature of beings and distinguishing the good from the harmful in every situation.

In Śānti Parva’s instruction-focused setting, the sage Utathya delivers ethical counsel, emphasizing inner discipline and moral discrimination as foundations for righteous conduct and wise governance of one’s actions.
