This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter whose subject is the defining qualities (lakṣaṇas) of sabhāsads—councillors/assembly members—and related officials, emphasizing that sound kingship depends on ethically qualified advisers and properly constituted counsel.
The text signals the end of the eighty-third chapter within the Rājadharmānuśāsana portion of the Śānti Parva, concluding a unit of Bhīṣma’s instruction on royal governance by formally closing the chapter.
