Shloka 12

राजधर्मः—प्रजापालनं दानयज्ञश्च

Royal Duty—Protection of Subjects, Generosity, and Sacrificial Discipline

ब्रह्मस्वे रक्ष्यमाणे तु सर्व भवति रक्षितम्‌ । तस्मात्‌ तेषां प्रसादेन कृतकृत्यो भवेन्नूप:,ब्राह्मणके धनकी रक्षा की जानेपर ही सब कुछ रक्षित हो जाता है; क्‍योंकि उन ब्राह्मणोंकी कृपासे राजा कृतार्थ हो जाता है

brahmasve rakṣyamāṇe tu sarvaṁ bhavati rakṣitam | tasmāt teṣāṁ prasādena kṛtakṛtyo bhaven nṛpaḥ ||

جب برہمنوں کے مال و مفاد کی حفاظت کی جاتی ہے تو مملکت میں سب کچھ محفوظ ہو جاتا ہے۔ اس لیے اُن کی عنایت و کرپا سے راجا کِرتَکِرتیہ اور کِرتارتھ ہو جاتا ہے۔
