Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
महादण्डश्न तस्य स्याद् यस्यान्निर्वे दिवा भवेत् । प्रघोषयेदथैवं च रक्षणार्थ पुरस्य च,नगरकी रक्षाके लिये यह घोषणा करा दे कि “जिसके यहाँ दिनमें आग जलायी जाती होगी उसे बड़ा भारी दण्ड दिया जायगा”
mahādaṇḍaś ca tasya syād yasyānnirve divā bhavet | praghoṣayed athaivaṃ ca rakṣaṇārthaṃ purasya ca ||
جس کے گھر میں دن کے وقت آگ جلتی ہوئی پائی جائے، اس پر نہایت سخت سزا عائد کی جائے۔ اور شہر کی حفاظت کے لیے اس حکم کو سرکاری طور پر عام اعلان کے ذریعے پھیلا دیا جائے۔
