जगाम शिरसा पादीौ यज्ञे विष्णोर्महात्मन: । दर्शयामास तं॑ विष्णू रूपमास्थाय वासवम्‌,राजसिंह! राजा मान्धाताने उस यज्ञमें परमात्मा भगवान्‌ विष्णुके चरणोंकी भावनासे पृथ्वीपर मस्तक रखकर उन्हें प्रणाम किया। उस समय श्रीहरिने देवराज इन्द्रका रूप धारण करके उन्हें दर्शन दिया

jagāma śirasā pādau yajñe viṣṇor mahātmanaḥ | darśayāmāsa taṃ viṣṇur rūpam āsthāya vāsavam |

بھیشم نے کہا—اس یَجْنَہ میں بادشاہ ماندھاتا نے مہاتما وِشنو کے قدموں پر سر جھکا کر، زمین پر پیشانی رکھ کر پرنام کیا۔ تب وِشنو نے واسوَ (اندر) کا روپ اختیار کر کے اسے دیدار بخشا۔
