चतुर्भिश्चतुरात्मानं सत्त्वस्थं सात्वतां पतिम्‌ | यं॑ दिव्यैर्देवमर्चन्ति गुह्दौः परमनामभि:,वासुदेव, संकर्षण, प्रद्यम्म और अनिरुद्ध-इन चार दिव्य गोपनीय और उत्तम नामोंद्वारा ब्रह्य, जीव, मन और अहंकार--इन चार स्वरूपोंमें प्रकट हुए उन्हीं भक्तप्रतिपालक भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णकी पूजा की जाती है, जो सबके अन्तःकरणमें विद्यमान हैं

caturbhiś caturātmānaṁ sattvasthaṁ sātvatāṁ patim | yaṁ divyair devam arcanti guhyaiḥ paramanāmabhiḥ ||

چار نہایت رازدار اور الٰہی ناموں کے ذریعے اُس معبود—واسودیو—کی پرستش کی جاتی ہے؛ وہ خالص سَتْو میں قائم، ساتوتوں کا مالک، اور چتُرویوہ کی صورت میں ظاہر ہے۔ وہ سب کے دلوں میں مقیم ہے اور اپنے بھکتوں کی حفاظت کرتا ہے۔
