Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)
न चैवाकल्पयद् भागं दक्षो रुद्रस्य भारत । ततो दधीचिवचनाद् दक्षयज्ञमपाहरत्,भारत! उस यज्ञमें दक्षने रुद्रके लिये भाग नहीं दिया था; इसलिये दधीचिके कहनेसे रुद्रदेवने दक्षके यज्ञका विध्वंस कर डाला
na caivākalpayad bhāgaṃ dakṣo rudrasya bhārata | tato dadhīcivacanād dakṣayajñam apāharat ||
اے بھارت! اس یَجْن میں دکش نے رُدر کے لیے کوئی حصہ مقرر نہ کیا؛ اس لیے ددھیچی کے کلام سے برانگیختہ ہو کر رُدر دیو نے دکش کے یَجْن کو چھین کر تباہ کر دیا۔
तामिन्द्र उवाच गच्छ नहुषस्त्वया वाच्योथ<पूर्वेण मामृषियुक्तेन यानेन त्वमधिरूढ
