धर्मद्वारबहुत्वविमर्शः — Reflection on the Many ‘Doors’ of Dharma (Śānti-parva 342)
ब्रह्माणं शितिकण्ठं च याश्षान्या देवता: स्मृता: । प्रबुद्धचर्या: सेवन्तो मामेवैष्यन्ति यत् परम्,ज्ञानी भक्त ब्रह्मा, शिव तथा दूसरे देवताओंकी निष्काम भावसे सेवा करते हुए भी अन्तमें मुझ परमात्माको ही प्राप्त होते हैं
Brahmāṇaṁ Śitikaṇṭhaṁ ca yāś cānyā devatāḥ smṛtāḥ | prabuddha-caryāḥ sevanto mām evaiṣyanti yat param ||
ارجن نے کہا: جو بیدار سیرت کے ساتھ برہما، شیتیکنٹھ (شیو) اور جن دیگر دیوتاؤں کا ذکر آتا ہے، اُن کی بھی بے غرض خدمت و عبادت کرتے ہیں، وہ آخرکار مجھے ہی—پرَم کو—پاتے ہیں۔
