इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत गोक्षधर्मपर्वमें अनध्यायके कारणका कथन नामक तीन सौ जअद्ठाईसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvake antargata-gokṣadharmaparvaṇi anadhyāyakāraṇakathana-nāma trīśata-aṣṭāviṃśat-tamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ

Translation

یوں شری مہابھارت کے شانتِی پَرو کے تحت گوکش دھرم پَرو میں “انَدھیائے (ویدی مطالعہ کی معطلی) کے سبب کا بیان” کے نام سے تین سو اٹھائیسواں باب مکمل ہوا۔ یہ خاتمہ اس امر کی نشان دہی کرتا ہے کہ دھرم کے مطابق کب اور کیوں مقدس ویدی مطالعہ روک دیا جاتا ہے—اور بھیشم کے اسی وعظ کی تکمیل ہے۔
