Nārāyaṇasya Guhya-nāmāni Niruktāni (Etymologies of Nārāyaṇa’s Secret Epithets) / नारायणस्य गुह्यनामानि निरुक्तानि
तत्र मृत्युजरादु:खै सततं समभिद्रुत: । संसारे पच्यते जन्तुस्तत्कर्थं नावबुद्धयसे,उन-उन योनियोंमें जीवको सदा जरा-मृत्यु और नाना प्रकारके दुःखोंसे संतप्त होना पड़ता है। इस प्रकार संसारमें जन्म लेनेवाला प्रत्येक प्राणी संतापकी आगमें पकाया जाता है--इस बातकी ओर तुम क्यों नहीं ध्यान देते?
tatra mṛtyu-jarā-duḥkhaiḥ satataṃ samabhidrutaḥ | saṃsāre pacyate jantus tat kathaṃ nāvabuddhyase ||
ان اُن یونियों میں جیو ہمیشہ بڑھاپے، موت اور طرح طرح کے دکھوں سے ستایا جاتا ہے۔ یوں سنسار میں جنم لینے والا ہر جاندار گویا رنج و الم کی آگ میں ‘پکایا’ جاتا ہے—تم اس حقیقت کو کیوں نہیں سمجھتے؟
