पुरा समूलबान्धवं प्रभुर्हरत्यदु:खवित् । तवेह जीवितं यमो न चास्ति तस्य वारक:,यमराज सबके स्वामी हैं। वे किसीका दुःख-दर्द नहीं समझते हैं। वे मूल और बन्धु-बान्धवोंसहित तुम्हारे प्राण हर लेंगे। उन्हें रोकनेवाला कोई नहीं है। वह समय आनेके पहले ही तुम अपनी रक्षाके लिये प्रबन्ध कर लो
purā samūla-bāndhavaṁ prabhur haraty aduḥkhavit | taveha jīvitaṁ yamo na cāsti tasya vārakaḥ ||
یمراج سب کا مالک ہے؛ وہ کسی کے دکھ درد سے نہیں پگھلتا۔ وہ تمہاری جان کو جڑ سمیت، رشتہ داروں سمیت اکھاڑ لے گا؛ اسے روکنے والا کوئی نہیں۔ اس لیے وہ گھڑی آنے سے پہلے ہی اپنی حفاظت کا سامان کر لو۔
