याज़्ञवल्क्य उवाच कृत्स्नधारिणमेव त्वां मन्ये गन्धर्वसत्तम । जिज्ञाससे च मां राजंस्तन्निबोध यथाश्रुतम्‌

yājñavalkya uvāca | kṛtsnadhāriṇam eva tvāṃ manye gandharvasattama | jijñāsase ca māṃ rājan tan nibodha yathāśrutam ||

یاج्ञولکْیَ نے کہا— اے گندھروؤں میں برتر! میں تمہیں یقیناً کامل فہم کا حامل سمجھتا ہوں۔ پھر بھی، اے راجَن، تم مجھ سے پوچھتے ہو اور میرا نظریہ جاننا چاہتے ہو؛ اس لیے سنو— جیسا میں نے سنا ہے، ویسا ہی تمہیں بیان کرتا ہوں۔
