Śuka’s Manifestation from the Araṇi (Āraṇeya-janma) — शुकजन्म (आरणेय-सम्भव)

अन्योन्यमतिवर्तन्ते अन्योन्यस्पर्थिनस्तथा । ते वध्यमाना हान्योन्यं गुणै्हारिभिरव्ययै:

anyonyam ativartante anyonya-sparthinas tathā | te vadhyamānā hy anyonyaṁ guṇair hāribhir avyayaiḥ, pṛthvīnātha |

یاج्ञولکیہ نے کہا—اے مالکِ زمین! جاندار برابر ایک دوسرے سے آگے بڑھنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں اور باہمی رقابت میں رہتے ہیں۔ اگرچہ اپنے ہی اعمال کے نتائج سے وہ پٹتے رہتے ہیں، پھر بھی دل فریب اور بظاہر نہ ختم ہونے والے ‘اوصاف’ (حسی موضوعات کی کشش) کے کھنچاؤ میں آ کر وہ ایک دوسرے پر پھر بھی چڑھ دوڑتے ہیں۔
