Adhyātma–Adhibhūta–Adhidaivata Correspondences and the Triguṇa Lakṣaṇas (Śānti-parva 301)
प्रार्थयन्तश्न तं विप्रा वदन्ति गुणबुद्धय: । सम्यग्युक्तास्तथा योगा: सांख्याश्चञामितदर्शना:
prārthayantaś ca taṃ viprā vadanti guṇabuddhayaḥ | samyagyuktās tathā yogāḥ sāṅkhyāś ca jñāmitadarśanāḥ ||
برہمن رشی، اسے پانے کی آرزو میں، کہتے ہیں کہ اس کی بُدھی گُن میں قائم ہے۔ اور وہ یہ بھی بتاتے ہیں کہ درست طور پر برتا گیا یوگ اور سچّے گیان کی بصیرت رکھنے والا سانکھیہ—دونوں اسی صحیح تمیز تک پہنچاتے ہیں۔
भीष्म उवाच
Right understanding is praised as grounded in virtue and discernment, and both properly practiced Yoga and the knowledge-oriented Sāṅkhya are affirmed as valid, converging disciplines that cultivate true insight.
Bhīṣma continues his instruction in the Śānti Parva, describing how learned brahmins speak about the sought-after ideal (a person or principle previously under discussion) and how established paths—Yoga and Sāṅkhya—are recognized as means to correct vision and knowledge.
