Saṃhāra-krama (The Sequence of Cosmic Dissolution) — Yājñavalkya’s Discourse

भीष्म उवाच कणानां भक्षणे युक्त: पिण्याकस्य च भारत | स्नेहानां वर्जने युक्तो योगी बलमवाप्लुयात्‌,भीष्मजीने कहा--भारत! जो धानकी खुददी और तिलकी खली खाता तथा घी- तेलका परित्याग कर देता है, उसी योगीको योगबलकी प्राप्ति होती है

bhīṣma uvāca | kaṇānāṁ bhakṣaṇe yuktaḥ piṇyākasya ca bhārata | snehānāṁ varjane yukto yogī balam avāpnuyāt ||

بھیشم نے کہا—اے بھارت! جو یوگی دانوں کے سادہ کَنے اور تِل کی کھلی (پِنیاک) کھانے میں منضبط رہے، اور گھی، تیل وغیرہ چکنے (سنیگھ) غذاؤں سے پرہیز کرے، وہی یوگ-بل حاصل کرتا ہے۔
