यः सर्वेषां भवति हार्चनीय उत्सेधनस्तम्भ इवाभिजात: । यस्मै वाचं सुप्रसन्नां वदन्ति स वै देवान्‌ गच्छति संयतात्मा

Transliteration

yaḥ sarveṣāṁ bhavati hārcanīya utsedhana-stambha ivābhijātaḥ | yasmai vācaṁ suprasannāṁ vadanti sa vai devān gacchati saṁyatātmā ||

Translation

جو شخص ضبطِ نفس والا ہو کر سب کے لیے قابلِ تعظیم بن جاتا ہے—گویا بلند ستون جو رکھے ہوئے کو اوپر اٹھا دے—اور جس سے لوگ خوش دلی کے ساتھ شیریں و نرم کلامی کرتے ہیں، وہی خوددار انسان دیوتاؤں کی سی حالت کو پہنچتا ہے۔
