Vidyā–Avidyā and the Twenty-Fifth Principle

Sāṃkhya–Yoga Clarification

Educational Q&A

Attachment to sensual pleasure breeds greed; greed then drives expansion of dependents and the compulsion to accumulate wealth for their maintenance—illustrating a self-reinforcing cycle that binds one to worldly striving rather than higher aims.

Parāśara describes a psychological progression: people who treat erotic enjoyment as the supreme good become dominated by greed; from attachment they enlarge their household, and then feel compelled to seek wealth to support and sustain that growing family circle.
