Akṣara–Kṣara Viveka: Vasiṣṭha–Karāla-Janaka Saṃvāda (अक्षर-क्षर विवेकः)

यथा सूक्ष्माणि कर्माणि फलन्तीह यथातथम्‌ । बुद्धियुक्तानि तानीह कृतानि मनसा सह

yathā sūkṣmāṇi karmāṇi phalantīha yathātatham | buddhiyuktāni tānīha kṛtāni manasā saha ||

اے دھرم کے جاننے والے راجہ جنک! جس طرح اس دنیا میں نہایت باریک اعمال بھی—جب دل و دماغ کی سوچ کے ساتھ اور عقل کے فیصلے کے تحت کیے جائیں—اپنی نوعیت کے مطابق لازماً پھل دیتے ہیں، اسی طرح تشدد جیسے سخت اعمال بھی نتیجہ دیتے ہیں۔ نادانی میں کیا گیا ہولناک گناہ بھی اگر برابر بنتا اور جمع ہوتا رہے تو اس کا انجام ضرور سامنے آتا ہے؛ فرق صرف یہ ہے کہ جان بوجھ کر کیے گئے عمل کے مقابلے میں اس کا پھل بہت کم ہوتا ہے۔

Educational Q&A

All actions, even very subtle ones, inevitably produce results suited to their nature. Intention matters: wrongdoing done unknowingly still bears fruit, but its consequence is lighter than the fruit of deliberate, knowing wrongdoing.
