Adhyāya 284: Tapas as a Corrective to Household Attachment

मनसा चिन्तितं यच्च यच्च वाचानुकीर्तितम्‌ | सर्व सम्पद्यते तस्य स्तवस्यास्यानुकीर्तनात्‌,वह मनसे जिस वस्तुके लिये चिन्तन करता है अथवा वाणीसे जिस मनोरथकी याचना करता है, उसका वह सारा अभीष्ट इस स्तोत्रके बार-बार पाठसे सिद्ध हो जाता है

manasā cintitaṃ yac ca yac ca vācānukīrtitam | sarvaṃ sampadyate tasya stavasya asyānukīrtanāt ||

بھیشم نے کہا—وہ جو کچھ دل میں سوچتا ہے اور زبان سے جس مراد کا اظہار کرتا ہے، اس ستوتر کی بار بار تلاوت سے وہ سب اس کے لیے پورا ہو جاتا ہے۔
