प्रस्थिता देवता दृष्टवा शैलराजसुता तदा । उवाच वचन साध्वी देवं पशुपतिं पतिम्,देवताओंको प्रस्थित हुआ देख सती साध्वी गिरिराजनन्दिनी उमाने अपने स्वामी पशुपति महादेवजीसे पूछा---
prasthitā devatā dṛṣṭvā śailarājasutā tadā | uvāca vacanaṃ sādhvī devaṃ paśupatiṃ patim ||
دیوتاؤں کو روانہ ہوتے دیکھ کر، اسی وقت شیل راج کی بیٹی سادھوی اُما نے اپنے شوہر پشوپتی دیو مہادیو سے کلام کیا۔
