अध्याय २८१ — दानधर्मः, न्यायागतधनम्, ऋणत्रय-परिशोधनं च
Dāna ethics, lawful wealth, and settling obligations
भीष्मजी कहते हैं--राजन! महात्मा ब्रह्माजीके ऐसा कहनेपर वृक्ष, ओषधि और तृणका समुदाय उनकी पूजा करके जैसे आया था, वैसे ही शीघ्र लौट गया ।।
āhūyāpsaraso devas tato lokapitāmahaḥ | vācā madhurayā prāha sāntvayann iva bhārata ||
بھیشم نے کہا—اے راجن! مہاتما برہما جی کے یوں فرمانے پر درختوں، جڑی بوٹیوں اور گھاس کے گروہ نے ان کی پوجا کی اور جیسے آئے تھے ویسے ہی جلد لوٹ گئے۔ پھر عالموں کے پِتامہ، دیوتا برہما نے اپسراؤں کو بلا کر، اے بھارت، شیریں کلامی سے گویا انہیں تسلی دیتے ہوئے کہا۔
