Shloka 7

तदनन्तर उस ब्राह्मणने शान्त मनसे देवताओंके अनुचर कुण्डधार नामक मेघको पास ही खड़ा देखा ।। दृष्टवैव तं॑ महाबाहुं तस्य भक्तिरजायत । अयं मे धास्यति श्रेयो वपुरेतद्धि तादूशम्‌,उस महाबाहु मेघको देखते ही ब्राह्मणके मनमें उसके प्रति भक्ति उत्पन्न हो गयी और वह सोचने लगा कि यह अवश्य मेरा कल्याण करेगा; क्योंकि इसका यह शरीर वैसे ही लक्षणोंसे सम्पन्न है

tadanantaraṃ sa brāhmaṇaḥ śānta-manasaḥ devatānām anucaraṃ kuṇḍadhāra-nāmakaṃ meghaṃ pārśve sthitaṃ dadarśa | dṛṣṭvaiva taṃ mahābāhuṃ tasya bhaktir ajāyata | ayaṃ me dhāsyati śreyo vapur etad hi tādṛśam ||

اس کے بعد وہ برہمن، جس کا دل و دماغ پرسکون ہو چکا تھا، قریب ہی دیوتاؤں کے خادم کُنڈھار نامی بادل کو کھڑا دیکھتا ہے۔ اس مہاباہو کو دیکھتے ہی اس کے دل میں عقیدت جاگ اٹھی اور وہ سوچنے لگا: “یہ ضرور میری بھلائی کرے گا، کیونکہ اس کی ہیئت میں ایسے ہی مبارک آثار پائے جاتے ہیں۔”
