कामलोभानुबन्धेन पुरा ते यदसूयितम्‌ । मया स्नेहमविज्ञाय तत्र मे क्षन्तुमहसि

kāmalobhānubandhena purā te yad asūyitam | mayā sneham avijñāya tatra me kṣantum arhasi ||

بھیشم نے کہا—پہلے خواہش اور لالچ کے بندھن میں پڑ کر میں نے تمہارے حق میں جو حسد آمیز بات کہی تھی، اس کے پسِ پردہ محبت کو نہ سمجھ سکا؛ اس خطا پر تمہیں مجھے معاف کرنا چاہیے۔
